Low Slope Roofing Protection
What is Rolled Roofing?
Asphalt roll roofing or membrane is a roofing material commonly used for a low sloped roof pitch. The material is based on the same materials used in asphalt shingles; an organic felt or fiberglass mat, saturated with asphalt, and faced with granular stone aggregate.
Why use Rolled Roofing?
• Low-slope roofs are susceptible to leaking because of their inability to drain, so it is essential to use the proper application on low-slope roofs.
• Rolled roofing is a self-sealing asphalt product designed for low-slope roofs.
• Architectural shingles are not designed for low-slope roofs because they tend to hold water around the edges of the shingles.
